Incunable Book Page for your consideration.  I do not know if this woodcut decorated page is from Hartmann Schedel's "NUREMBERG CHRONICLE" but this appears to be the case to us.
Written in German, the
engraving page measures 13" tall X 8 3/8" wide.
The owner who collected this is artist, art professor & art historian Jill McKeever Furst, who taught at the Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia PA for over 10 years.
She also had strong connections to the Penn Museum, not only as a consulting scholar for acquisitions from 1987 on, but also as a frequent lecturer at Maya Weekends.  Often she bought museum de-
acquisitions, hence the superior quality of the artwork items we are listing on eBay at this time.
One side relates to Attila the Hun.  The words "Attila" & "Hunnen" appear many times.  Thus the language is German.
The other side refers to "
Pannonia",
a northern province of the Roman Empire
.
And as you note, the condition remains excellent indeed!!  The page remains bright and clean with almost no faults or flaws present really, aside from minor age toning, a few small stains & some gentle rippling as shown.  A single 1/4" tear at bottom, as shown.  Minor margin fraying..
A beautiful water colored engraving illustration adorns each side.  Very, very nice condition and would look fabulous
framed in double sided glass!
Just an amazing and beautifully preserved 500 year old (or so) book page for your auction pleasure indeed!!

I guarantee everything I sell unconditionally if you are not satisfied. I do, however, require that the item be returned in no more than 30 days following arrival and be returned in original condition. I also request that you notify me by email within 3 days of receipt of item. I do want you to be satisfied.
In the case of a return, we pay for shipping one way only.  All items are from a smoke free environment.
