1940s Vintage Black & White Photograph Industrial Arts Class Motor Oil Projects

Description

This is a very unusual 8"x10" original photograph from the 1940s. It shows a teacher with a student in what looks to be an industrial arts class. There are 3 tin projects that were made out of oil cans. There are a Texaco Motor Oil sprinkling can, a Pennzoil oil can filler, and a Sunoco funnel. The student must have had to make something out of old cans and solder them together. The back of the photo reads "

This was in a small glass frame and I removed the photo and the backing paper. I kept the backing paper because it has information that reads "
Man on Right Lloyd A. Wixom, Girl - ?
" From my research, Lloyd A. Wixom was a teacher at Blythe City Schools in San Bernardino, CA.
The photo is original from 1940s, not a reprint.
