Antique 1830s Franklins Maxims Transferware Pottery Child's Plate B&T Stone Ware

This is a very old 1830s-era Staffordshire-type pottery children's plate. It is stamped on back "
Stone Ware B & T
." I believe this is from Benjamin Franklin's "
Poor Richard's Almanack
." It reads "
Franklins Maxims
" on top and has a picture of people eating in a dining room. On the bottom it reads "
Foolish men make feasts and wise men eat them
." There is also another saying on top. It measures 6" in diameter. The plate has enameled flowers around the border and a slight bit of discoloration and crazing in the glaze which is normal. You can see 3 small dimples in the front glaze. These are from the small stand supports that were used to stack these plates on top of each other in the kiln during firing. The back is slightly more discolored but not too bad for its age. There is one small chip on the back which does not go into the edge, so from the front you cannot notice it.
