Description
This is for an 7 piece lot of brown transferware ironstone in the "Persian Rose" Pattern from Baker & Co., Fenton Potteries, Staffordshire, England. These were made between 1860 & 1892 according to the stamp & Impression on the back.This lot includes:
A 3" High cup. No stamp. No chips or cracks. Has age crazing & a fleabite in the glaze on the bottom rim.
A 6" diameter saucer. This piece is stamped & Impressed. No chips or cracks. Has glaze crazing.
A 7-3/4" plate, stamped and impressed. Has crazing and a very small chip on the back rim.
A 10" handled tray/plate. Glaze crazing. No chips or cracks. Stamped on the back (mark is different style, same time line)
A 12-1/4" Long x 9" Wide platter, same stamp as previous tray above. Crazing. Small glaze flake on 1 handle. No chips or cracks.
A 7-1/2" High by 6" Wide double handled Sugar canister/Tea canister. Stamped on bottom. Crazing. Lid has 1 very small defects on the bottom rim. Dish has no chips or cracks.
A 10" Tall Coffee/Tea pot with lid. Unmarked. The bottom rim of the pot has a very small chip. Glaze crazing. The interior rim has some glaze flakes. The lid has 3 small defects around the inside rim and the little handle of the lid has been repaired.
Overall, this set is in very good condition for the age. All pieces are in usable condition.
