    Description

    Antique Staffordshire "MARINO" Blue Transfer Vegetable Tureen, G. Phillips, Longport, Staffordshire, England, c. 1840. This a beautiful octagonal shaped covered tureen with a very attractive light blue and white transfer landscape scene. The scene has an urn and flowers in the foreground, with a river and a large castle on the opposite shore. This covered tureen has a beautiful embossed flower petal shaped finial. The tureen has a printed mark with an urn and flowers that reads, "IRONSTONE - MARINO - G. PHILLIPS - LONGPORT". This is the mark of George Phillips, who worked out of Longport, England during the middle of the 19th century. Beautiful Staffordshire covered vegetable tureen is offered here with a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The covered serving dish is 7 3/8" H. (covered), x 11 3/16" Dia. at the octagonal base. CONDITION: The condition is of the vegetable dish is very good with minimal wear and no damage.
