1. Description:
Original sheet CCXLI (241) panorama view of Constance (Baden-Württemberg, Germany), woodcut, old colored, from the Latin edition of Schedel'sche Weltchronik, published on July 12, 1493. Edited by the famous Nuremberg humanist and historian Hartmann Schedel. Printed by Anton Koberger in Nuremberg. With more than 1800 woodcuts, the Schedel Chronik is an important testimony to German book printing art of the late Middle Ages. The woodcuts are made by Michael Wolgemut and Wilhelm Pleydenwurff.
Double-sided and colored city view of Constance from the Schedel Weltchronik (also called Liber Chronicarum, Nuremberg Chronicle, Chronicle of the World), sheet leaves CCXL and CCXLI, latin edition. Verso: Latin text, woodcut of the Council of Florence, as well as busts of kings and popes.

2. Condition:
Overall good to very good overall condition! Very nice use of color in the old colored style. Slightly browned and stained. Centerfold fully restored and reinforced from assembled sheets. Flaws in the center fold have been professionally restored. Two small wormholes on the lower edge of the sheet. Photos are part of the item description.
