1. Description:
Original sheet CC (200) panorama view of Passau (Bavaria, Germany), woodcut, old colored, from the German edition of Schedel'sche Weltchronik, published on Dec. 23th, 1493. Edited by the famous Nuremberg humanist and historian Hartmann Schedel. Printed by Anton Koberger in Nuremberg. With more than 1800 woodcuts, the Schedel Chronik is an important testimony to German book printing art of the late Middle Ages. The woodcuts are made by Michael Wolgemut and Wilhelm Pleydenwurff.

2. Condition:
For a 520 year old, original woodcut view, this sheet is in very good condition! No damages, just slightling browned according to age.  The centerfold shows a few small, lost and restored parts, which result from the former book binding (see photo). Beautiful  oldcolored and absolutely decorative!
3. Explanation:
The sheet offered here is an original from the incunabula period and is over 500 years old. It's free of third-party rights at the time of sale.
