Unique Rare English Staffordshire Porcelain Hen Chicken on Nest Tureen .
Stunning highly collectible figural hen on nest in traditional style and darling size. This Grey and Black Chicken is painted with wonderful detail, face is a soft pink in coloring with a bright orange comb and wattle. Hen sits on white eggs and soft colored green grass, golden basket holds it all together. Sweet investment piece to display on its own or as part of a collection. This piece is from and estate. Once small chip on the inside of the basket, slight wear on back of black tail feathers, please look at all the pictures. Estimated to be from the 1860’s-1870’s. Marked with original sales tag from antique shop where it was purchased.
