Davenport Hand Painted Flowers Fruit & Gold Rococo Scrollwork Figural Heads Vase
Rare bone china porcelain vase with relief molded Rococo scrollwork and shell designs with gilt highlights. The handles are gilt with relief molded figural heads at the bottom. Decorated with hand painted fruit and flowers in the center of the vase and flowers around the neck and foot. With small insects in the white around the center. Marked on the bottom Davenport in a ribbon above an anchor. This mark was used between 1815 and 1830.
Has crazing typical of bone china, wear to the gilding, and there are several cracks to the base.
Measures approximately 6 1/8 inches wide x 9 5/8 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
