Up for sale 19th C. Historical Staffordshire Blue Plate Landing of Lafayette 1824 Clews 8 7/8" Condition is Used. The dark blue transfer printed plate is by James and Ralph Clews (1813-1834) and marked with the maker's mark on the reverse, as shown in the photos.  The plate is titled "LANDING OF GEN LAFAYETTE at Castle Garden New York 16 August 1824".  The plate measures 8 7/8 " in diameter.  It is in good estate condition ,has same cracks  It does show age appropriate wear with subtle scratch marks in the well area and glaze loss  in same place .Please check the pics and ask any questions before you buy.
