    MAKER: Podmore, Walker & Co. circa 1834–1859, Tunstall, Staffordshire.
    PATTERN: Olympia Red
    MATERIAL: Earthenware with Red Transfer
    PIECE NAME: Large Rim Bowl
    DIMENSIONS: 10 5/8" by 1 3/4"
    CONDITION:  Some minor staining to the underside (phjoto 12), a single glaze crack (photo 11) and a a shallow flake (photo 4) and some rough edges to the rim but no real chips.  The flaws have more to do with the quality of the manufacture than the way the piece was treated as otherwise it has a lovely nice glossy finish and appears to have been used very lightly.
