    Description

A very fine & Rare English or Dutch 18th Century hand painted Golfer scene bowl. This is porcelain and NOT pottery. ebay does not provide adequate category to list this rare and unusual item. I used the Staffordshire category because the central color outside the center painted scene is Pink pearl Lusterware with grapeleaf design. It could be made by Minton or one of the other well known makers in England around the 1700's. This was found in an enormous Greenwich Connecticut estate, and is truly a masterpiece. The porcelain is fine and transparent and the hand painted work showing the Blackheath golfer by "Lemuel Francis Abbott. With club in hand may well be one if not the rarest most early depictions of a golfer of this time period. The bowl measures 10 1/2" in diameter and stands 7" tall. There is a makers mark over another it looks, so I cannot identify the true maker. It is original and very rare. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Check out my other items also.. DO NOT Pay until I send you a Invoice. We ship all over and Shipping "Is" more money if you live East of the Mississippi, such as California or Western States. Please no returns because you do not "Like" the piece. Thank you
PLEASE go to "Sellers Other Items" page to search through all my new and current listings. I am sure you will find other great pieces. I always combine shipping if you purchase more than one item. I ship quickly and offer two different forms of shipping. Standard which is first class and if you need it quicker Priority which is faster but will cost more.
ALWAYS ask questions before you bid if you want additional information or photos of the items. I am easy to work with.
I do my best to find great piece to bring to ebay and always am searching for new ones. I have a great return policy which is 30 days but I ask that you do not ask for a return just because you do not like a piece. If I make a mistake in the listing I pay for the return, but if you decide differently you are responsible for return shipping cost. I do ship ALL over the world, but now use nothing but "Express" Shipping which is signed for in Europe & elsewhere. Please ask if you have further questions on shipping.
SHIPPING Anywhere WEST of Missouri will cost MORE money and I will be adding an additional fee to the already stated shipping cost. Why don't I offer free shipping. Because I sell "Antique items" not new items and it takes time and effort to pack and use Very good materials to ship to you. It costs me a lot of money to do this for my buyers. I take a great amount of time and provide the best materials to ship.
I pack very well and you can be rest assured that your items will arrive in the same condition you see pictured.
ASK ALL QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE THEM PRIOR TO BIDDING.
