SIX C.1840 HERTFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND PEKIN BLUE TRANSFERWARE 8 1/4" SCALLOPED PLATES 3 have small chips underneath to the feet, edges are fine under the fingernail test. All are impressed with a "10" mark and have a few different numbers, 7-13, and all have the fancy "PEKIN" in underglaze blue and white logo stamping. Interesting, all have stilt, or sagger dots underneath, old school for sure. Occasional bubbles and blips, as made, and surface ice type crackle, otherwise, ready for you to make some cucumber sandwiches and serve them at high tea.The mark accords to mid 1800's, lack of "Made in England" supports pre 1891, guaranteed old. Also guaranteed, very nice, a bit uncommon in sets.
