    ureen with lid,
    measuring
    3
    inches
    tall
    and measuring

    inches
    across.
Hand decorated with a painted band of blue slip outlined in red, with moulded handles and fancy finial.
Well potted, to the standards usually only seen in full-size Staffordshire table wares.  The
    set is
    unmarked.
The form is widely attribued to the Davenport factory in Longport in the Staffordshire region of England from 1793-1887. The set is in very good condition
with a nearly invisible tight hairline in the spoon spout, flaking in the blue paint, and n
o chips cracks or repairs. Glaze pops and other minor typical manufacturing imperfections from Victorian potteries. Children's hand painted earthenwares of this quality are quite scarce. Offered as is, as shown.
This set would be a perfect addition to any serious collection of early miniature table and tea wares.
