This is a superb pair of large staffordshire black & white seated spaniel dogs with the wonderful facial decoration & overall portrayals of which:
during our research: we have been informed they certainly date from the mid 19th century:
date about c1850s.

wonderful facial decoration and overall portrayals.
black & white colouring with:
the embossed collars, lockets & chains.

Each has an overall height of about 10.5inches.
Hollowed base with an o
verall size underneath of about 7 x 4.5i
nches.
Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is:
very good and both are not subject to any major blemishes except:
due to age: both are subject to crazing with: one having heavier hairlines which appear as a crack to the rear.
Same has a chip above an eye.
Again due to age: areas of rubbing mainly to the eyes of one.
