    Description

Victorian Stoneware Teapot James Dudson Hanley with a rather exotic subject, a beautiful bird on a bamboo branch. Measures 9” wide from the spout tip to handle end. Teapot body appears to be just about 5 1/2” diameter, and total height is just about 5 3/4”. Weighs 1pound and 12 oz on scale, so it weighs close to two pounds. One small chip on inner teapot rim. A repair was found on a second passing, it measures almost 5/8” long and is on the rim above the handle; a round chip was glued back on. A bright flashlight checking the inside of the spout shows that the teapot had little if any use. Some discoloration spots on body and spout normal with antique fired stoneware. 8.625% sales tax charged to NY collected and remitted by eBay, sales tax charged to other states collected and remitted by eBay.
