Vintage Staffordshire "TYROLEAN" Blue Transfer Open Vegetable Tureen, Ridgway, Staffordshire, England, c. 1900. This a beautiful shaped open tureen with a very attractive light blue and white transfer landscape scene with gilt trim. The scene has people talking in the foreground, with a boat on the river and houses and mountains on the opposite shore. This open tureen has a beautiful embossed flower border around the upper rim with a gilt trim. The tureen has a printed mark with an urn and flowers that reads, "W.R. & CO. - TYROLEAN - RIDWAYS -". This is the mark of William Ridway who worked out of Staffordshire, England during the middle of the 19th century into the 20th century.
